10/28/2009 - On October 28, 2009, The Department of Computer Science hosted a luncheon and briefing for Mr. Aneesh Chopra, the newly appointed Federal Chief Technology Officer of the United States. Mr. Chopra was recently appointed to the position by President Barack Obama. While on campus, Mr. Chopra had lunch with several University leaders as well as a dozen technology executives from leading Texas companies. Over lunch, the group discussed technology innovation, workforce issues and education. Read more
