Several months ago, I went to a hackathon in Georgia and my team worked on an Android application game called Hungry Cats. We had a great concept, cool graphics, and amazing programmers at hand, but the one thing we didn't have was code with documentation.
What is documentation? Documentation is any sort of comment within your codebase that gives anyone who reads it a brief description of your methods, classes, and implementations and how to use them. These comments should be explained as simply as possible.

Programming is a language! I realize I may be late to this party, but I've only recently had this epiphany of just how true the phrase "programming language" is and I see now how much coding is just like being proficient in any other language.

I’ll come out and say it: programming is cool right now. And as much fun as it is to be a tech hipster, I have to admit that before I got to college I couldn't've cared less about coding and was actually slightly afraid of computers. (My $300 Toshiba would take so long to boot up I ended up writing a comical number of my college application essays on my phone.) I was lucky enough to transfer into computer science in the Fall of 2013 right before things got weird (refer to the remnant steam in the UTCS Facebook group for more details). So I wasn’t here before it blew up.
