The University of Texas at Austin Department of Computer Science (UTCS) Friends of Computer Science (FoCS) 2010 Career Brunch was held in conjunction with the College of Natural Sciences (CNS) Career Expo on September 20, 2010 at the Frank Erwin Center.

The FoCS Career Brunch provides FoCS companies strategic and early access to top Computer Science students including top GPA undergrad and graduate students, Turing Scholars, 5 year masters program students, Women in Computer Science, The Association for Computing Machinery and Graduate Representative Association of Computer Science leaders—the best of the best at UTCS. Students and companies used the opportunity to connect, communicate, educate and exchange ideas and career information.

Both students and FoCS members described it as an extremely worthwhile event. Several FoCS members said it was exactly the type of event they needed for their recruitment efforts and some said it was their favorite recruiting event of the year. Students walked out with big smiles on their faces, grateful for the opportunity to come and excited about their futures. The event was also a great opportunity for UTCS faculty members to network with industry professionals and introduce their students to them.
