The University of Texas at Austin Department of Computer Sciences (UTCS) Friends of Computer Sciences (FoCS) participated in the College of Natural Sciences Spring Career Fair on February 2, 2006.

IBM recruiter studies a student's resumeFoCS members, Centaur Technology, Cisco Systems, HBK, Hewlett-Packard, IBM, JBoss, Lockheed Martin, Microsoft, National Instruments and Sun Microsystems enjoyed an energetic level of recruiting and networking activity at the fair. Although many companies can participate in the Career Fair, only UTCS FoCS members enjoy personalized support and promotion for their Computer Sciences recruiting activity.

The Computer Sciences Office of External Affairs offered an information booth and was on-hand to introduce students to FoCS members, talk to companies about scholarships and internships for current students and provide FoCS ribbons. FoCS members attending the Career Fair reported a high degree of satisfaction with the recruiting results from their efforts at the Career Fair.
