UTCS Professor Inderjit Dhillon has been named a 2014 Fellow of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) "for contributions to large-scale data analysis, machine learning and computational mathematics."

As a fellow, Dhillon, professor of Computer Science and director of UT's Center for Big Data Analysis, is now among the top 1 percent of ACM members. His achievements promote information technology and outstanding service to ACM, and serve as a role model and an inspiration to other members.

He will be inducted into membership at the annual ACM Awards Banquet June 20.
