The Department of Computer Sciences is pleased to host the istinguished Faculty Lecture Series featuring six distinguished Assistant Professors:

  • Anastassia Ailamaki (CMU)
  • Yanlei Diao (University of Massachusetts, Amherst)
  • Kim Hazelwood (University of Virginia)
  • Tal Malkin (Columbia)
  • Li-Shiuan Peh (Princeton University)
  • Yuanyuan Zhou (University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign)

The Lecture Series will be held in the ACES Building and in Taylor Hall on December 12, 13, and 14. Topics range from cryptography, databases, compilers and dynamic instrumentation to network architectures. Additional sessions include discussions on best practices for supporting assistant professors and transitioning from graduate student to faculty member as well as a graduate student roundtable.
