The Department of Computer Sciences at UT Austin is pleased to announce the Clare Boothe Luce Professorship to be held by a woman tenure-track Assistant Professor; she must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident. This position will be available beginning in academic year 2006-07.

This professorship, awarded by the Clare Boothe Luce Program of the Henry Luce Foundation, is designed to significantly enhance the recipient's research career. For each of her first five years, the Luce Professor will have three months of summer support guaranteed, a research supplement, and a salary supplement. She will also receive a one-time travel supplement. The Luce Professor will receive these supplements on top of UT's normal, competitive start-up package which includes graduate student support, support for a part-time administrative assistant, and equipment.
